Daniel Getzoff is a Los Angeles-based community activist, bicycle traveler, essayist-blogger, playwright-performer, multi-faceted nonprofit sector worker—and, most recently, fiction writer. His first published story appears in 42 Stories Anthology Presents: Book of 42 (“Fight” chapter Story of Excellence Award). His writing widely appears throughout the daily meditation book A Spiritual Principle a Day (NA World Services, Inc., 2022). As a playwright, he was called “an unmistakable talent” by the LA Weekly. He has published 90 essays about his 3 solo cross-country bicycle trips at http://handlebarconfessional.blogspot.com and https://handlebarconfessional.com, the subject of his upcoming memoir, Handlebar Confessional. The manuscript of his first novel, Nicknames for Harold, is out for submission.
