Katinka Clementsmith

Marketing & Communications

Katinka Clementsmith’s formal education was in the performing and literary arts, but it is the visual arts that bring her joy and where she has created her life’s work. She is a teaching artist for both children and adults, focusing on painting and supporting people—whether they consider themselves artists or not.

She teaches regular classes both online and in person, as well as workshops and camping paint retreats.

As a teacher, Katinka works in a variety of mediums, styles, and subjects to stay current with her students. This often leads her to unexpected discoveries and new artistic passions. She is currently developing a series of small, evocative pastel landscapes.

Her work is exhibited at North Coastal Art Gallery in Carlsbad, Pilapil Gallery in Temecula, Santa Ysabel Art Gallery in Santa Ysabel, and at numerous local art shows and festivals.

Katinka finds Dorland—and the artists she has met there—endlessly inspiring, and she treasures every moment spent in its creative community.

Kathy Stradley

Secretary

Kathy Stradley began her art journey in college, earning a BA in Art from Cal State University, Long Beach.  Although she originally planned to become a book illustrator, her path shifted as she built a career as an elementary school teacher, costume designer, and dance instructor—all roles that allowed her to continue using her creativity. Now retired, Kathy pursues art full-time. She has exhibited her work from Del Mar (at the San Diego County Fair) to Corona (at the Dos Lagos Art Show) and has received awards in several local shows.  Inspired by the people and landscapes of the Temecula Valley, she continues to find fresh motivation to reach her artistic goals.
