Hilary Nelson Jacobs is at work on a memoir about the gray area of consent in the 1980s. She also writes about marriage, sobriety, and parenting, including raising her trans son.
Hilary spent much of her career as a strategic planner for non-profits and other businesses. In mid-life, she changed gears and turned to writing creative nonfiction, embracing the reality that life confounds our careful planning.
Hilary grew up in Washington, D.C. and received a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and an M.F.A from Antioch University. She and her husband Bob, a screenwriter, live in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. Their two adult sons live nearby.
