Janeen C Smith is a credentialed art teacher who has taught art at every grade level, including grades 8–12, and internationally in Germany and Denmark as a California Department of Education Exchange Teacher for one year. She is currently teaching Impressionism and Expressionism to adults through the Bakersfield Museum of Art and other venues. She has participated in numerous juried festivals throughout California’s Central Valley. She also operates a side business as a pet portrait painter. Her work is currently exhibited at the Bakersfield Art Center and its affiliated locations. She is currently preparing work for an invitational festival show containing at least 5 NEW paintings.
