Jennifer Clark was raised in Greenwich CT, lived for many years in Manhattan where she founded her business, Jennifer Clark Design in 1982. Many of her clients were in the performing arts - Lincoln Center, International Production Associates, Limon Dance Company, Philip Glass, Dino De Laurentiis. She also consulted to businesses like IBM, AT&T, Lehrer McGovern, and Berkshire Property Agents. After moving to the Berkshires of Massachusetts in 2001, Clark began licensing surface design to the home and contract decor markets. Her murals have been licensed to Brewster Home Fashions and have been available for purchase on Target, Walmart, and JCPenney online. As a young designer, she had the privilege of working for Chermayeff and Geismar and later, Milton Glaser. She has received awards for her design work from the Art Director’s Club and the American Institute of Graphic Arts. She is a graduate of Vassar College and Cranbrook Academy of Art with an MFA in Design. Clark has had two solo shows of landscape paintings in Vermont. She creates using oils, gouache, charcoal and the iPad. Subject matter is representational: figures, still lifes and landscapes. Clark has recently painted large canvases/murals for townscape and college environments.
