Madelyn Starr writes YA, mystery, and supernatural, with a focus on female friendship and empowerment in different eras. She is a skilled historical researcher with a particular obsession with classic Hollywood star and inventor Hedy Lamarr. She wrote and produced the podcast “Autumn – An Audio Drama,” which released in fall 2024 and was a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival. She was most recently the Creative Executive in Global Film & TV at AfterShock Media, where she developed and packaged comic book IP for adaptation in global markets. Previously, she was the Associate Producer for indie films SICK GIRL (2023, starring Nina Dobrev) and AMERICAN OUTLAWS (2023).
