Deborah Noyes is the author of two adult historical novels, Angel and Apostle and Captivity, as well as numerous books for younger readers, including An Outbreak of Witchcraft: A Graphic Novel of the Salem Witch Trials, illustrated by M. Duffy; Ten Days a Madwoman: The Daring Life and Turbulent Times of the Original "Girl" Reporter, Nellie Bly; The Magician and the Spirits: Harry Houdini and the Curious Pastime of Communicating with the Dead; The Ghosts of Kerfol; A Hopeful Heart: Louisa May Alcott Before Little Women; and many others. A former graduate faculty member at Vermont College of Fine Arts, Deb is also a fine art photographer specializing in cyanotype.
