Ed Aust is a poet and photographer from Oakland, California. He serves as poetry editor of Radix Magazine and facilitates The Writer’s Nest, a fellowship of Bay Area poets. His poems have been published in Algebra of Owls, Avocet, Coal City Review, California Quarterly, Marin Poetry Anthology, Reed, Stonecoast Review, The MacGuffin, and Watershed. He has published three chapbooks: Apocalypso, Poems Found Scrawled on the Simple Man’s Bathroom Wall, and Sometimes You Just Have to Ask. His poetry is based in surrealism and spirituality, drawing on visionary imagery from the imagination, nature, and the street.
