Hao Huang

Hao Huang is a composer, writer and pianist. He has served as a four-time United States Information Agency Artistic Ambassador and has been warmly acclaimed in over two dozen countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. Awarded grants from the National Endowment of the Arts, the New York and Colorado Councils of the Arts and the California Meet the Composer Series, he recently directed several multidisciplinary immersive performance events involving narrative, video, improvised music and soundscape, and body movement supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Kellogg Foundation, the Holmes Performing Arts Fund and the UCLA Chancellor's Arts Initiative. He also wrote the play Jianchi/Perseverance that was a winner of the 2020 Pomona College Short Play Competition.
