Karen Combs

A visual artist and designer, Karen Combs makes brilliantly colorful paintings and screen prints on paper. Karen’s work often combines art nouveau type patterns with drawings from nature and bold color washes. The works are inspired by Chinese brush painting, Pop Art, and the natural world.

Karen studied art history and printmaking at Indiana University and the London Print Studio. She has a graduate level Certificate from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston.

Karen is also the creator of Nama Rococo wallpaper, producing her own handmade art wallpapers. Nama Rococo has been featured in the the New York Times, Boston Globe, The London Times, Elle Decoration, Vogue Living, NYLON, and WALLPAPER magazines.
