Born into a family of British entertainers (and some dairy farmers), Sarah Jane Cunningham was doomed to a life in show business. As a child, Sarah emigrated to the U.S. in 1976, during the Bicentennial, which can only be described as an entire year of July 4ths. The combination of culture shock and parental abandonment led Sarah on a circuitous path to comedy writing. Together with Suzie V. Freeman, Sarah has been part of a television producing and writing team for over twenty five years. With a career that began writing for the animated series, The Wild Thornberrys, Rugrats and As Told by Ginger, Cunningham/Freeman transitioned to live action, working on such shows as Wayne, iCarly, Punky Brewster, Last Man Standing, Everybody Hates Chris, School of Rock, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Even Stevens, Cory in the House, South of Nowhere, True Jackson, VP, Melissa & Joey and That's So Raven. They were nominated twice for Primetime Emmy Awards for their work on School of Rock and That's so Raven. They lost. Today, Sarah and Suzie are developing a book series into a one hour pilot for A&E as well as pitching their Menopause murder mystery series, Blow it Up.
